As i said, sometimes it's a bit silly and i don't think that's intended. Wizards have the incredible ability to manipulate mystical energy. Not only that, it really gets the Anime fantasy vibe! The setting is an amalgamation of classic fantasy in a faux-europe fashion (not only medieval but up to renaissance-ish) but with a lot of anime content.
